New Conference Emcee
After 15 years of hosting Stampede, Don Nelson turned over the reigns to a new Emcee – Matt
G. Don stirred a good roar from the crowd when he reported that he had been trying to get rid of that job
for the last 10 years.
| Matt has actually been emceeing the Microsoft
Convergence Conference in Orlando, FL for the past couple of years, so he
does bring some experience to the table. Matt & crew did a
good job of moving through the audience and interviewing attendees on the
big screen in a lively and comical manner. Perhaps his best line occurred
when Matt interviewed Scottish attendee Steve Johnson - who wore a kilt to the
Awards Ceremony and was seated high in the upper seats. Unfortunately, I
can't repeat that line here - but it was a memorable line. (Mr. Johnson
